Ali Shazib, DMD
Dr. Shazib graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Boston University School of Dental Medicine and completed an Oral Medicine residency training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/ Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, affiliated with Harvard School of Dentistry and Medicine. He was elected as Chief Resident and received the Joseph Henry award in clinical and research excellence at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. His research interests are in oral complications from medications, oral mucosal regeneration, and cancer toxicities.
His clinical interests are in oral oncology, oral mucosal disorders, oro-facial pain, and dental management of medically complex patients. His research interests are in cancer treatment-related oral adverse events, oral mucosal tissue engineering, and integration of oral medicine in education and healthcare. Dr. Shazib also has experience of private practice, management, and ownership.
In his spare time, Dr. Shazib enjoys playing squash, going skiing, going on culinary tours, meeting new people, reaching out in the community, and participating in forums that discuss cultural integration. He also has a favorite English Premier League team: Chelsea FC.
